Ganaroth: How is everything, peoples?
Lilium: good
Riot: sleepy
Riot: eeby deeby as the youths say
Ganaroth: Extremely glad to hear that. My new meds appear to actually be working, because I actually.... feel ok? It's super weird. SUPER WEIRD. I genuinely had trouble recognizing why I felt different today.
Riot: That's good!
Ganaroth: I'm sorry you're sleepy! Are you ok to play? If not, we can always delay things.
Ra'ven: I am a bit annoyed at work being dumb but now it's not work
Ganaroth: Sympathy for the working man.
Riot: I'll survive for a bit
Ganaroth: Eventually this high will go away. I'll adapt to the drugs, and then fall into despair again. I know damn well by now that this isn't permanent. But I'm still allowed to enjoy it while it lasts.
Ganaroth: Okay then.
I'll start right away, then. You've taken the elevator down to the first floor; and exited to find a storage and preparation room for the kitchens here, which suggests that you're in the section of the building devoted to servicing the wealthier clients. Io has suggested that they are willing to sacrifice their dignity and pretend to be a lost pet to attract the kitchen workers' attention, allowing you to exit the room into the public area, and then reclain your "pet." I do not recall anything aftert that, if it occured. I was starting to see spots at that point, so my memory isn't reliable.
Ra'ven: "We do need to find the way 'down' though..."
Ganaroth: (You know what would actually be useful? The opposite of that "nudge the GM" button, allowing me to say "Ok, I'm done with the desciption and am waiting on you." That would be more effective than expecting you to read my mind.)
Indeed. The control panel on the elevator has several inaccessible floors, darkened next to the other illuminated ones, including the basement level. A key might allow access, but you're not sure where to find that either.
Ganaroth: (This isn't me complaining about you folks AT ALL. I promise! This is just me finally recognizing a solution to a totally natural problem.
Eileen: "I'd say we could just try and climb down the shaft there, but that would probably be to much."
Ganaroth: (Which is embarrassing, but I get there eventually, lol.)
Lucky: "I did think about sending the elevator back up and climbing down, but unless we can press a button and still hop out, pro'lly not gonna work."
Io: "Possible, but I'm not sure we can manage without the kitchen staff noticing. That option wouldn't allow my distraction, since you then wouldn't be around to reclaim me."
Ra'ven: "I mean I can probably. What with the teleporting."
Ra'ven: "But then the lower door might be hard to open. Also over an open hole."
Ra'ven hmms, "Too bad Vul isn't here, he can do that flying thing and also turn into a squirell or something."
Io: "We don't have any way of knowing, unfortunately. Those angel on the roof weren't allowed here, so..." They make a gesture that is probably equivalent to a shrug.
Io: "I'll follow your leads, but we should decide soon, before the staff return to this section."
Eileen: "...and it's unlikely the keys they gave us will unlock the rest of the floors... well if no one has any other ideas we'll go with Io's."
Itzen: "If you do run off I believe it'd be acceptable for me to give chase. Me or her.." nods to Kay, "As we look more or less 'usual' and somewhat less rough."
Itzen: "That way we wouldn't be leaving the dragon to it's own devices and fate."
Io: "Sneak out of the room, so they don't think you came from here. Then pursue me. As a pet, I believe they'll forgive my intrusion, but you aren't. They may become unpleasant."
Lucky: "Works for me."
Io: (Folks, is it okay that I'm giving this information? Did I not describe the situation sufficiently. Genuine question, not a complain. If I need to fix something, or set things up more clearly, let me know!)
Itzen: "If that's the criteria, then I guess I would have to be me, as I at least have a spell that affords myself a bit of aditional stealth."
Io: (I... sorta feel like I'm railroading you. But I swear I'm just pointing out things that are inherent to your situation, so I think maybe I didn't do a good job explaining it.)
=^v^=: (( I think we needed a distraction to get from the storeroom we are currently in to the main room? ))
=^v^=: (( since only a few of the characters could likely sneak past the waitstaff? ))
Io: (Yeah, that's correct. But there were a lot of suggestions that didn't seem to account for their presence, or the fact that you were not it a public room, so I'm hoping I didn't neglect something.)
Io: (When there are several issues like that in a row, the most likely thing is that it's my fault.)
Io: (You sure I did things ok?)
Io: (I'm sorry if that was insulting. I didn't mean to be, and I only realized it looks a lot like that now.)
Riot: (( I didn't read it that way ))
Riot: (( I just can't fully remember about the sneaky bits ))
Io: (Stuff like that can be really hard, because I have a situation in my head that seems completely obvious, but communication can warp that image. WILL warp it, really, and at some level the situation in YOUR heads won't be the same. If my communication isn't good, your image of it becomes badly distorted, and issue that seem obvious to me can get obscured as well.)
=^v^=: (( itzen was thinking just leaving io to run off and hope for the best without any backup seems less good and that maybe someone who looks the part of pet dragon owner running after it, possibly from a public space, might give the dragon some cover ))
Io: (Ah, okay. That's ALSO a thing that happens! You offer a solution and *I* misunderstand it. I thought that you meant running after him right now, from here.)
Io: (Communication sucks, and we should all just become telepaths.)
Io: "Alright. I'm going. This is humiliating... but I suppose they'll never know who I am."
Io moves the panels of the door open just far enough for them to squeeze out, and then, after shaking themselves off, runs away from you, making a sound that might be something like a baby version of a roar. It's weirdly cute. A few moments later, you hear the workers swearing and dropping kitchen implements as they become occupied by the runaway drake pet.
=^v^=: (( sorry I was afk cause bathroom ))
Io: (No worries. It took me that long to write the thing anyway. )
Itzen: "Alright that's a signal, start moving out."
=^v^=: (( side note does elieen's cool map work on dungeons or only overworld? ))
vonel: (( Overworld only sadly ))
=^v^=: (( sad, also ug brb ))
Io: (Actually, technically it seems like it would work, and the problem might be the "fine detail" bit. This area is on the first floor, not below ground.)
Io: (Anyway, please make stealth checks in order to get past the kitchen staff without being notices. Or you can attempt something else, if you think it makes sense.)

You're able to sneak past them easily enough. Distracted by Io's baby rampage, the employee door is an easy target, and you are able to exit into the public area. It's hazy with smoke that beckons you nostrils with scents sweet, sour, and bitter. Your minor poison resistance allows you stand here without being affected, but something like the ghost of euphoria permeats your thoughts. I sense of what would be, if you weren't protected so.)

The patrons around you seem to either not notice your entrance, or simply don't care. They themselves either wander about with a variety of unusual expressions on their face, or find themselves relaxed or insensate on the plentiful oversized pillows, clearly there for this purpose. A small line has begun to form at the kitchen counter; order untaken due to you ruse.
It takes a minute or so before Io bursts throught the door, still hooting. as the kitchen staff gives chase.
Ra'ven: "Oooo oversized pillows!"
Kaylen Fisher: "Comfy, and less likely to get damaged than just having beds everywhere. And it sorta looks classy, honestly. I'll bet there are rooms around here for fucking too. Pillows are a lot easier to, uh, clean, than matresses."
Lilium quickly moves over to Io and scoops them up, "There you are, I can't belive you got away from me."
Lucky folds her arms and looks around with a slight snear.
Angel of Love 4 runs up, not panting (you're not even truly sure if they breath at all, given that they have no mouths or noses), but somehow exuding a sense of physical frustration. "Is this.... yours?"
Ra'ven keeps an eye out for a pillow of oppertunity to lounge in whilst also keeping another eye out for some sinister and guarded door possibly down
Lilium nods, "Yes sorry about that, I hadn't realized they had wandered off."
Angel of Love 4: (You find a pillow easily enough; they're strewn all over. Make a perception check for your attempt to spot a way down.)

Io rubs up against Lilium's side, now acting much more calm. They look up at you, and give the barest nod. It doesn't take long for Lilium to spot the pattern in the staff's movements. The door to the poverty section is easy to see, as is the public staircase, with patrons moving up and down it constantly. After a bit, though, you spot a corner that the staff keep turning, only to vanish. A doorway to somewhere else, off limits to the public.
Lilium keeps up the ploy and carrys Io around as she montions to the corner.
Kaylen Fisher: (There are unfortunately no signs indication the location of the forbidden staircase, but a 35 can blast through a lot of concealment.)
Ra'ven: "We need some of these back at the base...."
Around the corner is a staircase down, though clearly not the whole way, as you can see a landing from the top of it. You don't see any guards, but a depiction of the (probably apocryphal) rune of forbiddence is drawn on the floor, visible from here as well. Anyone in the league of five at least would recognize it, and understand its meaning.
Lilium has no idea.
Pell also has no idea.
Riot: (( (iirc) ))

Kaylen Fisher: (Itzen, Eileen, and Pell recognize it. Does Lilium roll, or do you decide that she just doesn't know? Also an option.)
vonel: (( I'm going to go with she just doesn't know. ))
Kaylen Fisher: (Okies.)
Kaylen Fisher: (In that case, everyone can feel free to tell me what they do.)
Ra'ven: "So who's going to see what sorta guards are there. Also are we going to have to do another distraction?"
Riot: (( since Pell recognizes it, is it the kind of rune that keeps you from entering, or is it just a warning? ))
Kaylen Fisher: (Ah, sorry! It's only a warning. The existence of this rune is actually uncertain. Many believe it be simply a story turned custom. This applies to a number of runes populary used to convey basic information, like the Rune of Truth.)
Kaylen Fisher: (Sorry for all the typos...)
Kaylen Fisher: (I usually rely on editing after I press enter, but that don't work here. )
Pell: "If we go down, assume we're in for a fight."
Ra'ven: "I thik that's the point though."
Eileen: "Yeah."
Kaylen Fisher: "The angels up top said so, at least. That it was guarded." She looks at the rest of you. "Go in wands blazing? Or do try to finesse what we can. Not sure what's on the menu, but..." She shrugs. "Just want to know our theme, I guess."
Kaylen Fisher: (*do we)
Kaylen Fisher: (GM DONE TALKING BUTTON MESSAGE)
Lucky: "I've found, that if you look like you're doing what you're supposed to be doing, sometimes people don't question it."
Lucky: "Fake it til you make it, in other words."
Eileen nods
Kaylen Fisher: (I can't confirm decisions, including going down those stairs, for you. If I do that, it's a mistake, and you should point it out!)
Kaylen Fisher: "Righto then."
Ra'ven: "Don't think that will work, everyone who works here is an angel and I don't have wings..." She tries to look at her back suddenly then shakees her head, "Nope."
Ra'ven: "Plus we were going to cause a disturbance to draw in our target..."
Ra'ven: "Seems like going in loud makes more sense right?"
Kaylen Fisher: "Yeah, true. We're either causing a ruckus here, or down there. Same difference, really."
Eileen: "Then we act like were suposed to be there until either we got to where were going, or get stoped along the way. Then we just knock some heads."
Lucky: "Exactly."
Kaylen Fisher: "Heh, yeah. We're a bunch of skezzed out patrons who wandered down there, is all. And then... bam!"
Kaylen Fisher: (Putting everything together, sorry. Just a short moment)
Kaylen Fisher: (KK, gonna move you over, arright?)
Kaylen Fisher: (If you're pretending to be innoccuous, please make a bluff check (or other if you can justify it.) If half or more succeed, you can feel free to arrange yourselves as you want here, as long as you don't go PAST the line of valor angels. Another bluff check, harder, is required to go further.)

The guard angels react with annoyance rather than hostility. Their body language suggests they'd be rolling their eyes, if they had them. One of them speaks up.
Angel of Sorrow 1: "Oh, for brightness's sake...." It raises its voice towards Kay. "Get back up the stairs now, or have your body shredded as badly as your brains."
Kaylen Fisher wavers, unsteady on her feet. As an angel of valor gets near, she acts, a combat begins. The angels aren't surprise; they've clearly been ready to cause harm since you came down here. It's too bad for them that your ploy allowed you to get so close, though. Otherwise they might have attacked while you were on the staircase. That would have been... annoying.
Kaylen Fisher: (pretend that I'm not making typos like a fourth grader.)

Angel of Sorrow 1: (Yeah, okay. I still dunked you folks, but at least it's not quite as ridiculous as that suggested.)
The Angel fires upward, towards the ceiling. Somehow the arrow passes through... and then a rain of glowing arrows falls upon you, utterly ignoring that you're on the bottom floor of a huge tower.
Angel of Sorrow 1:

Hit: The target cannot attack the angel, and on each of its turns, the target must use a move action to move as close to the angel as possible. This effect lasts until the angel ends its turn in a square that is not adjacent to the target, until the angel or one of its allies attacks the target, or until the angel drops below 1 hit point.

Angel of Love 5: (Apologies also for the lengthy turns. I'm refamiliarizing myself with these dudes as I go)
Ra'ven hmms at Itzen getting a kiss, "Well, this is annoying..."
Angel of Love 5: (I made the tokens some time ago.)
Ra'ven decides to do non-attack damage to a guy as funny thing
Ra'ven:
Fiery Rift : Close burst 5
An ally disappears in a ball of flame to appear next to her.
Effect: Teleport ally to adjacent.
(4) Kaylen Fisher  Kaylen Fisher   Effect: The ally is teleported to a square adjacent to Ra'ven. All foes adjacent to the square the ally left take 5 fire damage.
In short order, your group is assaulted in a way you've never quite seen before, as waves of *peace* wash over you, making it hard to remember exactly why you want to hurt these creatures, even as they attack you.
Ra'ven yoinks Kay next to her
=^v^=: (( perhaps it explodes the valor angel ))
Unfortunately, the Valor Angel seems to ignore the fire completely.
Ra'ven:

Angel of Love 5: (true enough. Trivial for people who actually have heal as a skill, I guess.)
Riot: (( in case the question was missed, can Lucky fit where I've put her ))
Angel of Love 5: (Ah, sorry. I did miss it. Yes, you can. The rule of thumb is that if more than half (eyeball it) of the square is taken up by background images, it's obstructed. Otherwise you can go there, which is the case now.)
Riot: (( Okay cool ))
Lucky:
