Ganaroth: Wow. That is really shitty. I assume you took some ibuprofen or something. Regardless, I hope you feel better soon. Me? I'm tired. But that's permanent. I'm thinking about what to maybe do about it, but it's hard.
Vul: reracked server yesterday also worked on it today so my thighs ache like I did squats for hours

Ganaroth: Honestly, and I know this is counterintuitive considering my simultaneous desire to not be flakey, but I'm toying with the idea of take a dnd break until I can try to figure out how to get my ability to stay up back. Yeah, people have different tastes, and we gotta respect it even when they're wrong. Welcome, Von!

Ganaroth: Toying with the idea of doing that NOT TONIGHT.
Ganaroth: I'm here, no worries. The Aurae pic is cool, Akaiku.

Vul: anyways we were walkin into a trap?
Ganaroth: Yeah, Aurae is practically made of Tales... I mean Tails.
The opulence of the Ruby Palace is almost oppressive. intricate molding on both stone and wood surfaces are highlited with metal inlays: brass, silver, and even the softer, gentler sheen of gold. The constant niches, holding works of art that are probably worth skyships themselves, are given nameplates of polished gemstone, carved and inlaid with the name of the work in bronze. Everwhere you look, there is wealth, and moreover the obvious, unsubtle statement of how much MORE wealth there is than YOU have. There aren't as many guards as you might have expected, though they do have the look of formidable fighters, wearing heavy metal armor, and carrying heavy falchions that might easily double as cleavers. Instead, you sense another presense following you as you walk through the corridors, following Gol. It watches you, unblinking, and its malice and vigilance aren't even remotely hidden. Whatever this thing is, there's only a fence of reeds in between you and its metaphorical teeth tearing into you.
Ra'ven: "It's not exactly wealcoming, really." she sighs, "But it's quite fancy, right Io?"
Io: "This man thinks like a dragon. It's obvious that while he certainly desires riches, he desires envy even more."
Sera: "Nice place." (she says with a sneer)
Kris: "It's a bit more then I'm used to."
Palace Guard "Careful with your volume." He gestures, surrepticiously to the heavily armed guards. "Those guys are new. They showed up a while back, after Jydith. They're mazedamned fanatics, without half a sense of humor between them. Not that I disagree with you, when it comes down to it, but keep it to a whisper. Anyway, as I understand it, the point of all this... display... is to intimidate supplicants. They're supposed to understand that Emire Ibrahil can afford to waste more money than these people have in their whole treasuries."
Ra'ven: "is that unplesent presence normal then?" she asks slightly quietly to their guides
Gol: "Presence? Oh, you mean the Hunter. Yeah, he's always around, but after he starts to get that you belong here, he'll ease up. He just doesn't trust new people, especially new people causing violence or stealing things." A slight pause. "Let's just say that I'm glad I didn't apply for a job as someone who mops the floors."
Palace Guard: "You won't have to worry about him. He stays out of the various throne rooms. The Emir doesn't like anyone listening in, even if it's just a bound Genius Loci."
You find yourself in front of a pair of double doors. To nobody's surprise, they're constructed of solid pieces of a bright, silvery metal -mithral, by the look of it,- with an impressive tableau molded into it depicting an androgynous winged figure welcoming a fleet of skyships into their arms. The ships themselves seem to be made from a different metal, a darker bluish-gray that might be adamantine. The doors open silently as you approach, and your guard companions give you sympathetic looks. "Well, we're here."
Ra'ven nods, "Is someone supposed to announce us?"
Palace Guard: "Normally, yeah." He looks a bit off-put by that. "Maybe he already knows it's you?"
Ra'ven: "Well ya, but ceremony and all?"
Ra'ven: "Ah well..." she goes through the doors like she expects everyone to follow
Palace Guard: "That would be the normal thing, but this isn't normal. This whole situation is rotten from top to bottom. I can't just stand here chatting with the door open, okay?" He waves, a bit nervously as Ra'ven enters.
Them there characters that I control will also follow Ra'ven.
Riot: (( both of mine as well ))
Ra'ven assumes Io doesn't have particular reason to not despite me controlling them in combat
Kris and Eileen follow as well
In constrast to the gaudy halls, this throne room, almost certainly one of many, given the relatively modest size, has attempted a more understated elegance. Well, as understated as a pair of bronze knight statues, black marble, inlaid gold, an impressive series of braziers and a literal dragon-skull throne can possibly be. Sitting at the far end of the room, on said thron, is a man with the darkest skin you have ever seen. He's clearly a Void Genasi; one of the rarest of their kind, but while most tend towards a dark grey, like drow, his skin simply seems to absorb all light, making it nearly impossible to make out his features aside from faintly shining orange eyes. He is dressed in wide-necked robe depicting a starscape which, as he moves, seems to remain static. Instead, new stars appear at the edges, so that it resembles more a window into a sea of constellations than a piece of cloth with stars sown on it. He smiles, and his teeth shine, a shockingly white slash in the middle of pure blackness. "Greetings. You are invited to kneel at your leisure." Something about his voice makes it seem like both the invitation and comment about "your leisure" are perfunctory, and not to be taken seriously. "My name is Emir Ibrahil Jad Kelarus. And, call it a peculiarity of mind, but I like to meet people who cause a commotion in my city, whether they are friends or foes. So, perhaps you could explain which you are?"
Ra'ven gives a quick kneel/bow, then resumes standing, "Do... many claim foe in this situation?"
me raises an eyebrow. "Interesting, rising before I asked you to. I suppose now I know a bit more about how you see yourself. As for your question... it's been known to happen. But mostly I know who is who before they even enter the palace. The ones who would say foe almost always have more waiting for them than they thought."
Emir Ibrahil Kelarus raises an eyebrow. "Interesting, rising before I asked you to. I suppose now I know a bit more about how you see yourself. As for your question... it's been known to happen. But mostly I know who is who before they even enter the palace. The ones who would say foe almost always have more waiting for them than they thought."
Ra'ven frowns a bit, "I believe we have done a service to your city, though I do not profess to know your intentions, to explain where we would fall in them."
Lucky kneels when asked, though visibly uncomfortably. Sera looks at her and follows suit.
Rai Patience Cantor kneels without hesitation or apparent discomfort. Hector does so as well, though you can hear a small sigh escape his lips. Yltheria merely curtseys, keeping her eyes locked on the Emir. And Io...Io does nothing.
Emir Ibrahil Kelarus: "I would say your impression thus far has been very positive. You rescued the head of the Ethereological Society. Excellent. He works directly for me, so allowing him to be taken was inexcusable, and punishments have already been meted out. Before that, you retrieved crucial information regarding Great Garmera's condition, allowing the scholars to confirm their most dire findings, as well as chart a timeline for the crisis. Your quick thinking prevented a general slaughter in the opening hours of the summit. And a couple of other, more minor things. A service to the city? Yes, I think that would be accurate. In the spirit of gratitude, the first part of this meeting will be devoted to purely to my thankfulness. I have prepared a number of gifts for you. I thought long and hard about it, and decided that while the value of such gifts is quite high, even compared to the services rendered, they might be thought of as an investment. Take these tokens, and continue to serve Si En Kelar well!" In fron of the throne dais, several brass and rosewood chests appear, the locks undone, along with a rack bearing the more bulky items. (These contain the new items you received as part of the treasure parcels I already gave you.) "Feel free to try them on. You deserve at least that much. And while you do so, please feel free to ask me any other questions. After all, we'll soon move on to the second part of our meeting."
Emir Ibrahil Kelarus: (realizing that I need to grab and move your tokens.
Ra'ven does, in fact, take and try on the swag

Emir Ibrahil Kelarus: (Thanks. I appreciate it. Luckily, amidst the other treasures, is an unassuming brown backpack, which upon further inspection seems to have a lot more space on the inside than it rightfully should. It should be easy to get the excess home. Sorry you can't spell good right now, though.)

Emir Ibrahil Kelarus: "I hope you enjoy these small gifts of my appreciation. I do with that I could keep Professor Okorion in his position... not a lick of sense, but an effective administrator and, I am told, and excellent scientist. And of course the dignitaries will have to be mollified... for now, at least. But these are trifles. No, in the grand scheme of things, you served me very well indeed." He raises a single finger. "Of course, what is a gift, but a debt to be redeemed? I'm sure you can, of course, understand. Given your past effectiveness, it would be a waste not to employ you again. Besides, any great feats you perform will reflect on me too. Not at all a bad thing, considering the unpopularity of some of my current stances."
Emir Ibrahil Kelarus: *I do WISH that...
Emir Ibrahil Kelarus: (sorry, just correcting a typo)
Ra'ven: "If you are open to quesitons, why is it that Silverfang was invited?"
Emir Ibrahil Kelarus: "Essentially for the sake of chaos. Those who experience chaos and danger are those who most readily turn to order and safety. If the Silverfang Cult is categorically against interfering with Garmera, it stands to reason that other, more level heads, will oppose their position." He pauses. "They're also a convenient catspaw for if anyone is causing too much trouble. Nobody would look further for a motive when there is already a group of murderous fanatics in the mix."
Sera: "So they were a spoiler. And a warning."
Ra'ven puts on her best did not look further face
Emir Ibrahil Kelarus: "It's amazing how many resources can serve dual purposes, isn't it? They're actually a fairly formidable group, you know. Under normal circumstances, I would avoid antagonizing them like this. When they realize they've been manipulated, they'll come for me. But for all their pervasiveness and fanaticism, they are slow to react; a decentralized structure has its weaknesses. And by the time their knives reach me, it will be well and truly too late. Oh well for them."
Rai Patience Cantor: "This conversation is truly fascinating. You honestly believe that it doesn't matter what we know, don't you? Not fearing us... that I can understand, even if I think the arrogance is apalling. But to believe that we won't carry word of this is remarkable hubris. You really think we can't carry these words of yours to people who would love to hear them?" She looks around to the rest of you, a somewhat incredulous look on her face. "We aren't idiots, you know. Before we came here, I had my senses linked with a skilled magic user. She knows exactly what's been said here already, and if we don't return, she'll know what to do with it."

Rai Patience Cantor: ((Patience's voice never wavers, and expression seems real... but you were with her before you left, and never saw her do anything of that nature. The tempo of her words is also just a little bit fast, the only flaw in her delivery.))
=^v^=: (( ironically enough Vul did bring the evil scroll of deal with the devils with him outside ))
Emir Ibrahil Kelarus: "Hmm. I wouldn't say there is a trap, per se. An offer, and a test, yes. And I suppose a simple statement of fact at the end. But no traps. When it comes time for us to attack you here, we'll tell you beforehand, and with no malice." He pauses. "Might I offer you refreshments?"
Sera stands close to Patience, positioned at what would amount to parade rest, eyes fixed forward as Patience speaks. She stands unflinching, defaulted to the military bearing of a soldier behind their commander.
For her part, Patience seems to simply accept that stance from you, as though it's an everyday, expected thing.
vonel: (( and now my computer has come down with a case of the updates, brb again. ))

vonel: (( Yeah looks good ))
Rai Patience Cantor: (And I for one welcome our new digital overlords. They can give us anything except relevance.)
Emir Ibrahil Kelarus nods. "Of course we'll be attacking you. That will serve two extremely important purposes. First, it will make sure that you have the skills and the courage to fulfill your roles in all this, as well as serving as a further confirmation of your identities. And second, it will serve as a warning from us to you. Always best for two parties negotiating with each other to know where they stand, is it not?"
Kris just sighs at that
Emir Ibrahil Kelarus: "...in case I wasn't clear, incidentally, I'll be testing all of you, not just the ones in this room. The ones that are really interesting to me are all here, but I'm not foolish enough to think your friends irrelevant. They'll have their own threats to deal with." He drums his finger on the arm of the throne.
Eileen narrows her eyes at that.
Emir Ibrahil Kelarus: "Seriously though? No refreshment. I'm trying to be civilized, after all. There's no reason we can't be friendly, after all this is done."
Eileen: "The threats kind of make that hard to swallow."
Ra'ven: "If that's true that'd be a more approprate time for refreshments? Fighting on drink makes it a bit less pleasent..."
Emir Ibrahil Kelarus: "There are no threats. A threat implies an attempt to coerce you. I am making a statement of fact. Shortly now, we will attack you, and both you and we shall observe the results. I wouldn't bother threatening you, since I don't want anything else from you at this moment. Hmm..." He pauses, rubbing his chin thoughtfully. "...though a WARNING, on the other hand, might be called for. We call this a test, but death is in fact one of the failure conditions. Just to be perfectly clear." He nods "Very well, refreshments after."
Ra'ven: "Suppose that explains the throne room picked."
Eileen slips her weapon in to a ready position, "Death is always a threat."
Kris: "Kind of have to agree with that."
Ra'ven stretches a bit, "How much of one varies, remember that devil came back."
Emir Ibrahil Kelarus: "Now, should you pass, We will certainly have further work for you in the future, and further compensation. So it's not, as I said, simply a cruel whim. You get something out of this too." He smiles softly. "Death is not a threat. It's merely an occurance. It's a thing that will follow if you fail. I don't say so to motivate you, or to scare you. It's not a threat to say that jumping off a high cliff will result in one's death. It is simply natural law. And should you avoid that occurence, as I hope you will, I look forward to working with you many times in the future." He pauses. "Devil?"
Io 's eyes narrow. "I notice that you are saying "We" quite a bit."
=^v^=: (( I forgot what her name was cause I suck, what was her name again? ))
Riot: (( Jydith/Anand ))
Ra'ven: "Yes, by the name of." a slight pause for some reason, "...Jydith? We banished her recently and she came back quite quickly."
Anand, Iron Falcon: "Oh, gosh. You remember me!" She's dressed differently this time around, in a long leather coat, shirt, vest and trousers. Something about the ensemble makes her seem predatory. She flashes a wide smile as she enters the room from behind the throne, apparently using some kind of hidden door. "Banishing... that's a pretty big word for what happened to me, honestly. It's more like you pulled the "off" lever. All it took was for someone to turn it back on." She looks out on the group and shakes her head, a look of confusion and bemusement evident on her face. She walks forward to the edge of the dais, then sits down on the floor, crosslegged, chin in her hand as her gaze travels from person to person.
Ra'ven: "The off lever, but unplesently, from what I've been told..."
Anand, Iron Falcon: "Well, it's unpleasant for the other person, sure."
Sera 's military bearing falters, slightly, and a look of fury flashes across her face, but is quickly erased.
Ra'ven seems to have a bit of a warble in her voice that seems to bounce a bit between faltering and being more resolute then normal, also her slight infernal accent seems to become less slight talking to her
Ra'ven: "You seem to be the sort who'd lie about that either way anyways."
Anand, Iron Falcon: "So weird. Why do you talk like that? I know I certainly didn't teach you that." She shrugs. "Well, I don't deny lying when I feel like it. I'm an author, after all. Making up stories is one of my strengths. My many, many strengths." She flexes an arm, placing her hand on her bicep and winking. "I could say I'm not lying about that one, but for all you know, I might be. It doesn't matter much anyway, 'cause whether they suffer or not, the point is that I can come back in a couple of days. Do you know how many spare hosts I have scattered around this city? Because I don't!" She giggles. "So then. Ask me. I mean, you gotta ask why I'm here, right? Why I'm talking to you, making jokes, being friendly, participating in Emiry-poo's little drama about hiring you... are none of you curious? Because it's probably not what you think."
Ra'ven: "Why you and not someone else?"
Anand, Iron Falcon: "Why am I here in the city, or why is someone besides me not being a widdle obsessed with you?"
Sera snaps, "Why are you here , Anand? What game is it this time? What cruelty have you decided to deliver to the world today?"
Ra'ven takes a half step back about the obsessed with her comment
Lucky places a hand on Sera's shoulder, squeezing slightly. "Don't give her what she wants, blondie."
Sera seems to relax slightly, before returning to her former demeanor, though her eyes are knives in Anand's direction.
Ra'ven: "..w.why are you here in this city instead of someone else...."
Lucky: "Wait. What do you mean, 'I didn't teach you that'?"
Anand, Iron Falcon clasps her hand to her heart and positively beams. "Anand! You know my name AND my reputation. Now, how did you go about that... Oooh, it's just eating away at me. The curiosity." Her voice drops to a whisper. "I wonder if I carved into your face, there might be someone I recognize underneath." Then she laughs, and her voice returns to normal. "I'm in the city because it's IMPORTANT, and I get the important jobs." She pauses, eyes twinkling. "Mostly important jobs of a particular type, which should give you an idea. All I can really say is that Lansir has the largest skyship fleet in you rinky-dink little league. Hundreds and hundreds of ships! Mekanice technology, and the endless numbers of the Lansirians to crew them. Not to mention Adhikaari and Cor Falcan soldiers to carry in their holds, and as much supply as you could ever need to wage a war, courtesy of Evenbough, plus Mekanice-built weaponry. Put all your strengths together, and you're fairly formidable, aren't you?" Hey smile takes on an element of pity. "Only... what if one or more of those things aren't true? And why didn't I mention Si En Kelar when I was talking up your military potential? Once that becomes clear... well, someone will need to lead the slaughter. This is a big operation. I'm who I'd send too." She snickers for a few moments, and wipes away a few genuine tears, though you're not sure what prompted them. "As for why I wanted to meet you myself... well, gosh. There's an old saying, right? One time is happenstance. Two times is coincidence. But three times is enemy action." She looks at the lot of you, eyes narrowed and for the first time a note of real seriousness enters her voice. "So when I sit in this room with you, and I look at SEVEN times, plus the babysitter and some strange little dragon... how am I supposed to interpret that? Want to explain to me why I shouldn't be interested in a chance so unlikely that it might as well be fate?"
Anand, Iron Falcon waves her hand. "Well, I didn't teach her a lot of things. Piano, watercolors, torture, whittling..."
Io: "You lie. You lie well, Anand. But you DO know Ra'ven."
Lucky waves at Ra'ven, "Who is she to you?"
Ra'ven frowns and shakes her head, "... what.... did you teach me?"
Io: (Anand misses Io's passive insight.)
=^v^=: (( io's passive insight is hilariously high xP ))
Sera: "You expect us to audition to be a part of Iron war crimes? To work for the Iron Empire?"
Sera sneers, and doesn't hide it
Ra'ven: "I... I don't know.."
Riot: (( Lucky was talking to Anand, btw ))
Riot: (( just waving to indicate she was talking about Ra'ven ))
=^v^=: (( ra'ven doesn't mind that ))
Riot: (( brb taking dog out real quick ))
Riot: (( back ))
Anand, Iron Falcon: "....Oh, fine. Things I DID teach you, then. Umm... let's say tying your boots. How to strike parts of the body that would cause someone to black out from pain. How to summon hellfire. How to teleport. How to kick a person in the guy so hard that your foot comes out the other side. Things like that. Well, not all of it was THIS time around, but it hasn't been that long. I still remember. Kinda sounds like you don't, though." She seems genuinely sad about that.
Lucky: "This time around?"
Ra'ven: "I... I... don't wear boots..." she says taken aback.
Anand, Iron Falcon: "What? Ha, No! I'd be asking you to work for Emiry-poo. And he is PARTNERED with the Iron Empire. It's like being a second cousin. Not a big deal at all. I used to have three, and then I decided it wasn't a big deal, and now I have two. No problem." Her eyes close, and when they open there is absolutely no trace of humor in them. "The things we will ask for are going to happen. I'm asking this group because seven of you are either people I recognize, or people that I SHOULD recognize, but for some reason don't. That's weird, and because I like weird things I am giving you the opportunity to make decisions. From time to time, we'll come to you, and give you an assignment. It'll be a normal assignment; pay, benefits, support, the whole dealio. You'll even be able to turn it down, if you want. Here's the thing, though: If you accept, you get to decide how to carry it out. If you decline... well, I'll give it to a different team. And maybe they'll make decisions you wouldn't." She nods at Lucky and Ra'ven. "Yeah, this time around. I mean, obviously you have some memories of growing up, right? And I wasn't in them. There are a couple of explanations for that. Why don't you think about it, and maybe one will come to you?" Her smile softens. "...But I don't think it will hurt anything to at least let you know that I still love you."
Sera flinches, and it's tight, and anguished. "It never stops, with you, does it? Everything is ruinous, everything is tainted, but somehow it matters that it could be worse . That you offer a hope - leveraged in cruelty."
Kris: "So what happens if we give you a hard pass on this deal and out you to the whole city?"
Lucky: "Ra'ven. Is there any way that what she's saying - implying, is true?"
Ra'ven frowns, ".... I... don't know anything contradictory to t hat..."
Ra'ven: "I don't know.. her... but she seems to know me..."
Lucky: "It seems like she's implying that she's your mother . And that you've lived multiple lives."
Anand, Iron Falcon: "Woman who seems so familiar, but who I just can't place... and let me tell you, that is weird. Me memory is... well, it doesn't often fail. Don't worry, I'll figure it out eventually. Regardless..." She clasps her hands over your heart. "Are you a FAN? I didn't realize you thought so much of my work." She turns to Kris. "YOU I know, though. Is this some kind of redemption schtick? Or are you planning to be a double agent and get back in our good graces? Either way, I'm impressed that you managed to get all the way to the other side of the world in order to insert yourself into these events. I am curious to see how a person that can't ever finish the job manages to perform, though." Back to Lucky and Ra'ven. "Getting pretty warm, really. I wouldn't say red hot, exactly, but it's only the difference of a few degrees." She grins toothily.
Sera: "I'm a fan of you lying in a pool of your own blood, the collapse of your empire left to weigh on you as the life leaves you for the very last time."
Ra'ven: "My birth parents were.... eaten.... but she is standing in a different skin then before..."
Lucky eyes Kris, "What the fuck is she talking about?"
Sera: "She's trying to insert wedges into our team. To sew doubt, split our allegiances and make us turn on each other. Because that's what she's good at."
Ra'ven: "... is she? None of this is something any of us would hold against eachother, is it?"
Kris sighs, "That's a new record, I promise I'll tell you everything once were done here. But on the off chance I do try something..." He looks at Sera, "I want you to put a bolt right here." He points right between his eyes.
Sera: "She implies that one of us used to work for her, and one is somehow her progeny. Those things alone would easily cause people to doubt each other."
Ra'ven: "used to... and one who doesn't know her...."
Anand, Iron Falcon: She points at Sera: "Familiar face, don't know why." At Patience, and at Lucky: "More familiar faces, same blank knowledge. You two, though... I want to fight you." At Eileen: "When did you wake up? The design is obvious, but you shouldn't be out here, and without markers." At Kris: "Maybe if you can't be loyal, we can use you in other ways. At least you can use that "sword" of yours well enough...when you can stop yourself from using it the exact way you don't want to." At Yltheria: "I think we'll leave that knowledge in your head for now. It'll be harder to steal there." And at Ra'ven: "We'll lie together again, and embrace. And I'll know your loyalty, and you my devotion. And then, no matter why you disappeared from me, we'll have each other forever."
Sera turns to Kris, "Trust me. Your want would have nothing to do with it. I would do it out of necessity. But I will not let her push me to doubt you, unless you give me reason to."
Ra'ven grabs her chest and activly cringes, "... why... do I want that?"
Lucky: "Well that was a poor understanding on my part, holy shit." She shrugs at Anand. "I'm not familiar with you, but I already really don't like you."
Anand, Iron Falcon: "Aw, am I making you doubt each other? The funny thing is... I wasn't really even trying to. It's a favorite trick, I'll admit, but this time around just saying a few words of absolute truth had the same effect. So neat."
Ra'ven: "She is makiing us doubt ourselves, not eachother."
Anand, Iron Falcon considers Lucky's words. "Not as poor an understanding as you might think. Not every love is so simple as you imply."
A disgusted look crosses her face. "Oh, but it's not complex THAT way. Ugh, gross. No, try to think of a different way my words could be true. Thanks."
Eileen contuines to stare impassively at Anand, "I think that's more then enough from you, and Emir I'm still waiting for that test; or are you just happy to be her little puppet who doesn't get to make any real choices any more."
Ra'ven pulls herself up. "Well. I mean... I also rather much want to impress you... And you like strange."
Anand, Iron Falcon: "It feels good to hear that you want to impress me, kiddo."
Sera: "See? That right there. That's the kind of thing that would make someone like me, who despises Anand and everything she is, feel a little bit of doubt."
Ra'ven: "She doesn't think we can get out of this. Proving her wrong will impress her more then doing what she says, which is boring."
Lucky: "I agree with Eileen. Let's get this over with, if for no other reason than we might not have to listen to her yammering on."
Lucky waves her hands sarcastically, "Ohhh, I'm a cryptic enigma! Hear me blather like a drunken lunatic! I'm over it."
Eileen: "Agreed."
Ra'ven: "Well, I won't lie, I'd much unlike Kris prefer you not to shoot me."
Sera: "I won't. It's wonderful to see that the dagger of the Iron Empire has a weakness, though. Wasn't expecting that."
Ra'ven: "Everyone has a weakness.... maybe she taught me that, doesn't make it wrong."
Emir Ibrahil Kelarus: "Hardly a puppet. When this is all done, you might be surprised as to which of us outranks the other. But as you wish. We will move on to the test..." He frowns and Anand, who is softle laughing again, says "Oh, no, keep going. But Ra'ven is right. I'd love to see a good show, and find out how many of my lessons she's retained." The Emir rolls his eyes. "Yes, well... this test is designed to prove a point, and really it's a rather important one. So, as you are about to fight for your lives, I give you a choice. In this contest, would you prefer to face but a few enemies of great strength, or a vast horde who will drag you down by their numbers? Your opponents await your pleasure."
Anand, Iron Falcon actually looks a bit genuinely annoyed at your mockery of her speech.
Lucky smirks back at her.
Lucky: "Found it."
Ra'ven looks to Elieen, "Prefrence on test?"
Riot: (( I have no preference in the enemy makeup, either one is gonna be a pain in the ass and I am not a tactician, so I'll leave it up to y'all ))
Rai Patience Argent exchanges a quick glance with Lucky; it seems as though she might have seen what you saw too.
=^v^=: (( io and ra'ven does rather mean things to groups, Elieen, Lucky and Pat does mean things to single targets, not sure if Kris, Hector or Yith have a more tactical leaning one way or the other ))
Eileen: "Given our skill set some of us will do better against a hord and others would do better agasint fewer targets...."
vonel: (( Kris is more a single target guy. ))
=^v^=: (( I can see Sera being about as good at either ))
vonel: (( But with new powers he could probably hold the line agaisnt a hord for a fair bit. ))
Riot: (( Sera is more burst attacks, with her powers, but her at will are mostly individual ))
Rai Patience Argent: (Hector is probably more Single Target. Yltheria can split the difference, but might have a little edge on aoe. Current Patience is single.)
=^v^=: (( lol phrasing ))
Rai Patience Argent: Well, she is.
=^v^=: (( basically ooc I don't have a strong prefrence ))
vonel: (( As Eileen said, pretty even split. Really it just comes down to what do the rest of you feel like doing. Hord fight, or DPS race agasint 2 or 3 big guys. ))
=^v^=: (( ra'vens lv 10 stuff makes her significantly more a menace vs single targets then she was ))
Riot: (( either way I'd rather we figure it out in the discord if possible, I need to run to the store before it closes ))
=^v^=: (( Io's stuff is hilariously good against things that can be caught in a burst ))
vonel: (( I'm guessing at the 2 or 3 part, could be more. ))
=^v^=: (( we have 9 characters present, my guess would be like 5 or 6 ))
=^v^=: (( also also we can discord it also also also are we still planning on legging it? ))
Rai Patience Argent: ((Okay. Well, it's 1:20, so it doesn't need to decided now. Just if you could give me a vote on what your character would want before the next session (fight, fight!), It'll be good. I actually have all the monsters ready, so it really is your choice... and it's important that it's your choice, for reasons.))
Rai Patience Argent: 10:20
Rai Patience Argent: (Legging it: Plan as you will, but stuff happens, right?)
Riot: (( okay talk to y'all in the discord! Gnight! ))
