Yo!

Okay,

Yup,
that's the one.

So
what's up? How are you?

I've
got a mod installed that adds in two other gods, Apollo and
Hestia, and Hestia in particular combos with some of the other
existing gods in completely hilarious ways. It kinda makes me feel
bad sometimes, but then I watch the entire room being continually

Last time on D&D, you attended the opening of the summit, in which
Professor Okorion gave a very dry, abortive explanation of the situation
at hand, concerning Garmera's apparent condition. However, while the
room erupted into chaos, the head representative of the Silverfang Cult;
dangerous fanatics who worship their own interpretation of Garmera,
stepped forward and knocked Okorion out. He monologued for a bit about
his holy mission, and how anyone attempting to interfere with Garmera
would be targeted. To demonstrate, a servant who was secretely a member
of the cult slit her mistresses throat on his command. However, as the
conversation went on, it became more and more apparent that whatever
plan this man had, it's barely more than half-baked, and the only likely
consequence is chaos amidst the summit. It seemed suspicious to you.
Regardless, the group jumped from the balcony, ready to confront him.
Sound about right?

At Vayak's word a number of other people in the crowd begin running
towards the stage, trying to avoid the panicked 1%ers who have taken
this as their cue to finally rush the exits in earnest. You can hear a
commotion on the balcony as well, as a number of hidden cultist there
begin shoving people out of the way. It seems as though at least one of
Hector and Yltheria has figured out what you're doing, because Hector is
enthusiatically joining in and shoving people aside, shielding Yltheria
with one arm.

Asger Vayak frantically gestures
toward the backstage, where several ornate tapestries depicting
the constellations hang from the walls, then runs over to hold it

thinkers in my pack. We could have used you advising us on this."
He seems genuinely frustrated as he continues to run.
|
He leads you into through a surprisingly mazelike network of servant
corridors, turning to follow arrow markings at each intersection and
only stopping to roughly shove the occasional actual servant to the
ground. You reach a staircase going up, and he begins climbing. He looks
back over his shoulder and says "We have an escape pathway on the roof.
Don't worry, they won't be able to follow."

A few minutes later, those of the party who came with the cult find
themselves on the roof, alongside something close to thirty other
people, presumably cultists dressed in plainclothes. Stashed up is a
bag, which he quickly tears open, revealing a hollow glass sphere with a
small pewter wolf suspended in the middle. Cursing, he pricks his finger
with a knife, allowing a drop of blood to land on the globe, where it
disappears save for perhaps the slightest red tinge to the inside of the
sphere. He passes it around to the other cultists, and each of them in
turn hurriedly performs the same action, and by the time the globe gets
to your group, the inside looks as though it contains a thick red mist.
He hands it to Ra'ven.
|
Ra'ven isn't about to not do such a

and primally disturbing lurks at the edges of your vision, but before
you manage to get a good look at it, all of you have passed out. When
you awaken, the other cultist are coming to all around you as well, in
what appears to be some kind of affluent dining room, complete with
expensive looking furniture and a table fully set with silver utensils
and crystal glasses. Food has been set out, still warm and fragrant, but
nobody else is in the room.

Vul continues blisfully unaware that
he missed out on a sweet spread of food

Asger Vayak:
"Ha...
ha.... Made it. And as you said, the message has been sent.
Without even having to lose a man. Normally I don't welcome other
Fangs involving themselves in how I run this pack, but I have to
admit that you probably saved from a fatal mistake back there."
|
|
Eileen:
"Interesting
way to travel."
|
|
Ra'ven:
|
|
Asger Vayak:
"It's
awful. But many of Holy Garmera's gifts are. And, importantly, it
can't be traced like normal teleportation magic. The Yawn effect
rips through the surrounding magic, making it into useless,
unreadable hash. So despite the discomfort... very useful."
|
|
Eileen:
"Indeed."
|
|
Asger Vayak:
"According
to my contact, the devils are... less unified than they
traditionally have been at this moment. It wouldn't surprise me if
we're just dealing with different factions. Certainly they can't
be TRUSTED. But yes, the execution of the plan was mine. The
objectives came from above, though."
|
=^v^=:
(( question, was hector able to see
that devil possession on that person we had rescued before? ))
|
Asger Vayak:
"I
was told to deliver a warning against interference in unambiguous
terms, as a public statement. The how was left to me, and yes, I
may have chosen poorly. I'm not too proud to admit it."
|
|
Asger Vayak:
((He
was, yes, but he had to look her over thouroughly first. He
cannot, as far as you know, simply tell at a glance. Although now
that he's done it once, it might be faster next time.))
|
|
Ra'ven:
"Ah,
that's not so suspcious then..." she nods, "Good good. Also...
while we are at that," she turns to Hector, "Can you chieck our
Dean of Bad Decisions here for that possession we ran across
earlier?" She gestures to the Prof
|
Riot:
(( lol Dean of Bad Decisions ))
Riot:
(( who is he, the Dean from Community?
))
=^v^=:
(( no Dean Venture ))
Riot:
(( Ohhh also true ))
Riot:
(( movie was great btw ))
|
Asger Vayak:
"Hmm?
Oh, your faction is using those pills as well? By all mean, look
the idiot over. Don't feel like you have to be too gentle."
|
|
Asger Vayak:
((Fucking
love Dean of Bad Decisions.))
|
|
Asger Vayak:
((Okay,
deserved or not, Okorion is getting that as a title under his name
now.))
|
Riot:
(( lmao ))
=^v^=:
(( who else do you call upon to make
a timid Space Jam invading alien announcement ))
|
Asger Vayak:
Snrk.
|
=^v^=:
(( You are now all our prisoners, we
are making a giant laser to blow up the moon(wolf) ))
|
Asger Vayak:
|
Riot:
(( lol fine by me ))
vonel:
(( Sure ))
=^v^=:
(( ya sorry bout that ))
Riot:
(( was NOT expecting it to play out
that way and am currently unsure of what to do myself lol ))
|
Asger Vayak:
I
seriously did not expect Akaiku to do that. Don't apologize!
|
Riot:
(( in a good way though ))
|
Asger Vayak:
((Exactly.
I love when this happens. It's extra work for me, but it's the
kind of work I actually enjoy. I'm pleased as hell.))
|
Riot:
(( big fan of the unexpected +2 that
made it work ))
Riot:
(( off an ability that apparently
never does anything ))
=^v^=:
(( yaa, the prof said everyone who
wasn't working to stop the new wolfs was an enemy who was going to be
like, excommunicated and possibly killed ))
|
Asger Vayak:
(Right?!?!?!interrobang!)
|
=^v^=:
(( I mean i didn't even make a button
for it ))
|
Asger Vayak:
There
was little reason to.
|
=^v^=:
(( I'm goign to make one right now in
honor if it actually coming up ))
|
Asger Vayak:
(I
think that's deserved.)
|
|
Asger Vayak:
But
yeah, don't apologize. When thinks get a little bit out of control
is when D&D is at its best.

Successfully created or modified the
Wait..
Wolves.... macro!
|
Ra'ven:
|
Trigger:
She makes a bluff/intimidate/diplomacy
check vs something that is a wolf or wolf-like creature.
|
|
Effect:
She gets a +2 to the check
|
|
|
Ra'ven:
THERE
BUTTON
|
|
Asger Vayak:
Anyway,
thanks, folks. I'm actually pretty motivated to work on the new
stuff as a result of this.
|
|
Asger Vayak:
Hahaha,
yeah.
|
|
Ra'ven:
I'd
put an interrobang in that but I'm honestly not sure it wouldn't
blow everything up
|
|
|
Riot:
That
was very wild and interesting
|
|
|
Riot:
Excited
to see what happens as a result
|
|
Asger Vayak:
Me
too!
|
|
Ra'ven:
ya,
still feeling a big sheepish for the seeming yanking the party
along in a wierd direction
|
|
Asger Vayak:
It
can't just be "Oh, you're at there base, now you fight them there
instead of where you were." I have to figure out what the story
does instead.
|
|
Ra'ven:
I
mean
|
|
Asger Vayak:
Well,
I can't stop you from feeling sheepish, but I really appreciated
it.
|
|
Ra'ven wants to find out why they are
doing dumb things! Maybe there is a conspiricy!
|
|
Asger Vayak:
Yeah,
this is an opportunity to do things that I hadn't planned, and
maybe find out information I hadn't intended to reveal yet.
|
|
|
Riot:
No
need to feel sheepish, it was very interesting
|
|
Ra'ven is also secretly smug that a
bunch of rich people technically owe her their liives
|
|
Asger Vayak:
Ha.
|
|
Ra'ven:
I
mean most of them will blow it off, but some might feel twinges of
honor or something
|
|
Asger Vayak:
Actually,
that's my one regret about this incident. I had this whole
mechanic for the fight surrounding these VIP swarms planned out,
where they are basically a menace to both you and the enemies, so
herding them around sorta becomes key, and now I don't get to use
it. But this is worth it.
|
|
Asger Vayak:
And
yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if some of them remember you, and
are grateful.
|
|
Ra'ven is pretty stands out in a
croudy-y, also totally DID jump up on stage
|
|
|
Riot:
We
all also have these shiny new uniforms
|
|
Ra'ven feels bad for making Paitence's
new plan way more complicated but consoles herself in that she
didn't technically tell them to come
|
|
Asger Vayak:
Patience
doesn't feel that bad. She's busy calculating how she can use this
to make even more profit than she'd planned.
|
|
Asger Vayak:
Okay,
gonna get going, but thanks for the delightful little surprise
this session. Be super well! Also, I'm going to try to actually
pay attention to discord this week. -.-'
|
|
Asger Vayak:
So
contact with me might actually be possible. Kay, night!
|
|
|
Riot:
I
mean if we pull something crazy off, it's pretty much a rousing
success Patience could use to sell our services even more
|
Riot is disconnected.
