You have disconnected.
vonel has connected.
skypotato has connected.
Riot has connected.
Riot: hey hey
=^v^=: ohai
=^v^=: all the peeps
Ganaroth has connected.
Ganaroth: Heylo.
Ganaroth: How is all?
Riot: Decent, you?
Ganaroth: I've got this one friend who, without fail, starts messaging me heavily on every D&D night. Even when we switch. And only on the nights we actually play. He is currently doing this. It is maddening.
Riot: Wow it's still keeping up like that? Wild
Ganaroth: He isn't normally a troll, so it seems unlikely that he's doing it on purpose, despite me telling him the time frame many times. If it was one particular night, I would say that this was the night he got the drunkest during the week, or something. But that doesn't explain how he follows us around.
Ganaroth: Anyway, I have temporarily muted him.
Riot:
Ganaroth: He damn well knows that I am free literally all of the time.
Ganaroth: EXCEPT right now.
=^v^=: i have eaten cheezburger
Ganaroth: I'm permanently jobless. He knows that. What does he think I'm doing with that time?
Ganaroth: It always starts at 6, too.
=^v^=: clearly he has a spyware that detects when you launch maptool
Ganaroth:
Ganaroth: I guess he could have hacked me, sure, though I don't think he's that specific kind of programmer.
Ganaroth: So, are folks ready to finally fucking finish this?
=^v^=: I would press the fox button but i don't have one here sadly
Riot: brb real quick sorry!
Ganaroth: Yes, I know. It didn't work out. I'm sad too.
Ganaroth: Okay!
=^v^=: also the other fox button on the Fox from the other game is on the other game and not this one
Ganaroth: Hmm. Although the inability to add new emojis DOES prevent you from ending every post with it...
Ganaroth: Trying to look on the bright side.
Riot: back!
Ganaroth: Welcomes!
Ganaroth: Okay, pop quiz. Did I use the Blood Pool's turn last time, or did we end with me about to do so?
=^v^=: (( i think you didn't since peopel are not super pulled? ))
=^v^=: (( but vonel prob knows better with the logs and all ))
Riot: I don't think so but my memory is bad
Ganaroth: ((Well, if Vonel wants to look it up, that's his prerogative, then. I'll just use the turn.))
Blood Pool:
  Fascination of Life
  (9) Vul    Rolled 23 vs. Will ( Hit )
  (11) Lucky    Rolled 30 vs. Will ( Hit )
  (11) Yltheria    Rolled 30 vs. Will ( Hit )
Hit: The target is pulled 3 squares toward the Pool of Blood. If the target is pulled into the pool's space, the target is affected by the Ecstasy aura.
Miss: The target is pulled 1 square toward the Pool of Blood. If the target is pulled into the pool's space, the target is affected by the Ecstasy aura.
Blood Pool: ((Blood pool can't actually pull Clarity from where she is, so I didn't bother rolling.)
=^v^=: (( to be fair, is Von here? Haven't heard anything yet ))
Blood Pool: ((Oh geeze. I suddenly feel pretty bad about not realizing that.))
=^v^=: (( wait I can check the last time on ))
Riot: I think it'll be okay, nothing has really happened yet
Blood Pool: ((He's normally a bit quiet, so I guess I thought that was what was happening.))
skypotato: Blood Pool:   Fascination of Life     (11) Perra  —   Rolled 29 vs. Will ( Hit )     (11) Alsyne  —   Rolled 31 vs. Will ( Hit )     (10) Vul  —   Rolled 22 vs. Will ( Miss )     (9) Lucky  —   Rolled 29 vs. Will ( Hit )     (9) Clarity  —   Rolled 24 vs. Will ( Hit )     (12) Yltheria  —   Rolled 17 vs. Will ( Miss )   Hit: The target is pulled 3 squares toward the Pool of Blood. If the target is pulled into the pool's space, the target is affected by the Ecstasy aura. =^v^=: (( ironic that vul and yith I think have ALWAYS both been missed by that )) Alsyne: (Lots of ecstasy going on here. It's like a rave.) =^v^=: (( blood rave )) Riot: (( lol )) =^v^=: (( somethign something vampires )) Riot: (( blood rave, what is this Blade 2? )) Alsyne: (I hope not.) Perra looks like she's going to be sick after being drug in to the blood pool. Blood Pool:   Interrogation of the Soul     (9) Lucky  — ( Autohit )     (11) Clarity  —   Hit: A voice from within the pool of blood demands an answer of you. You must answer the question as truthfully as possible, or suffer a corresponding penalty, which is not revealed until triggered. Intentionally misleading answers count as lies, as does refusal to answer. Blood Pool:   Where do you come from?
Blood Pool: ((Yeah, it's probably okay, but I still feel kinda ashamed, like I was treating him as an afterthought. Not my intent.))
=^v^=: (( so ya, blood already did pool ))
Blood Pool: (That looks to me as though it did in fact take it's turn. If you would like, you may all move back to your previous position.)
Riot: Was that the end or was that the turn prior? Huh
Riot: I didn't remember that being the end, but remember my memory sucks so lol
Blood Pool: (Mine too.)
Blood Pool: (But Akaiku is pretty scrupulously honest, so if he says that's the terminus, I believe it.)
Riot: Oh I know
skypotato: ^v^=: (( quesiton does everyone hear the question and does everyone hear the answers? )) Alsyne: (Yes to both.) Clarity: "The Bitter Reach." Vul: "it's a good thing that it didn't ask me I suppose?" Alsyne: "Heh heh heh...." She giggles a bit from the effects of the blood pool. "Yeah. You can't... you can't, right?" Alsyne: (I think we should call it once Lucky answers. It's late and I'm stressed and tired.) Alsyne: (Past few weeks have been seriously draining.) Lucky: "I'm from a small village in what used to be Adhikaar. Pranadal." You get the distinct feeling that someone is taking notes on your answers. Riot: (( entirely fair, and I hope you start feeling better soon )) =^v^=: (( random stuff, vul would have answered like half of the asked questions, Ra'ven would have refused the first one asked of her )) Alsyne: (Characters with secrets and/or limitations are fun.) Riot: (( I think Lucky doesn't really care, and Clarity can probably feel that not answering at least somewhat truthfully is a bad idea )) Alsyne: (Last thing before we go: For answering the question, Lucky and Clarity may teleport 5.) =^v^=: (( Ra'ven would chafe at the idea of a pool of blood making deemands of her, Vul coudln't answer one and woudln't answer another )) Alsyne: (Should they wish.) Alsyne: (Looks good to me.)
=^v^=: (( other context stuff fwiw ))
Blood Pool: Thanks.
=^v^=: (( wonder if von fell asleep ))

Flameskull 2:
Riot: Still no von?
=^v^=: (( nope -.- ))
Flameskull 1: (Not that I can tell. I honestly should probably stop making rolls.)
Riot: maybe we could ping him in the discord
Flameskull 1: (My reflex to target reflex, so to speak.)
Flameskull 1: (I messaged him.)
Flameskull 1: (Or... PM? DM? Fuck if I know the lingo.)
=^v^=: (( lack of timestamps is sad ))
Flameskull 1: (Now that that season 3 of Picard has ended, I should probably watch it, huh? Also, TOH. I still haven't seen Watching and Dreaming, because I think my subconscious thinks it won't be over if I never do so. -.-)
=^v^=: (( there is a season 3 of picard? ))
Riot: You should watch the TOH finale
Flameskull 1: ((Yeah. This would be the last one.))
Flameskull 1: (I know I should.)
Riot: Some of it feels a bit rushed but it is such a wonderful ending and epilogue
Riot: Like. I cried a fair bit. In a good way
Flameskull 1: (I can forgive it being a little rushed, considering the circumstances. And yeah, I am aware of some of the final plot points, and let me tell you, it makes me a fuckton happier than Amphibia's finale. Because that righteously pissed me off.)
=^v^=: (( I have strong opinions on the end of Escaflone, X and Tenga Toppa Gurren Lagen ))
Flameskull 1: ((The last two are annoying, but not the same issue precisely. Escaflowne absolutely is, though.))
=^v^=: (( escaflone is also the end of most tales of destiny-esque games ))
Flameskull 1: (And in any case, Disney headquarters would literally have been burned to the ground and the ashes salted so that nothing would ever grow again if Luz and Amity had been forced apart.)
Riot: lol true
=^v^=: (( so amity didn't get into a giant goo-gundam then explode? ))
Flameskull 1: (I would have done it by myself if I had to, but I'm pretty sure I'd have backup.)
Flameskull 1: ((Nope. I mean, she might have a goo-gundam, cause I haven't seen the ep, but it doesn't seem as though she exploded.))
Flameskull 1: (Though the only actual goo-gundam in the show was disposed of in the previous episode, so she'd have to acquire a new one.)
Ganaroth: (still no response, btw.)
=^v^=: (( von on their way ))
Ganaroth: (Thanks for that.)
=^v^=: (( also i remain hmm on Witch Gundam ))
Ganaroth: (haven't tried watching.)
vonel: Sorry, rolled over and nodded off after alarm went off.
Riot: oh lemme post a Flork Gundam comic real quick
Ganaroth: (Historically, I haven't been a huge gundam fan. And hi Vonel!)
=^v^=: (( historically I don't like gundam and think it's cringe and dumb, except g-gundam which is turbo-cringe and glorious ))
Ganaroth: (I can't follow that show down the camp hole, sorry.)
=^v^=: (( that's fine, it's my other friend who only watches cringe bad anime who i think should totally watch it ))
Riot: Oh I don't watch Gundam, haven't since the few times I'd see it at a friend's house in high school
Riot: But I've heard bits and pieces especially about the newer ones
Ganaroth: ((Well, there is no shortage of terrible Isekai for them to watch, thankfully.))
=^v^=: (( wich gundum has girl-girl main cast couple but like, is ALSO a gundam show probably ))
Ganaroth: (There was a period in which I didn't really know a good show from a bad show, but that was also during the period when TVs had channels and timeslots, so I was never actually able to follow the show anyway.)
=^v^=: (( it's also sorta being oddly anti-capitalist? ))
Ganaroth: ((Well, I approve of 2/3 of those things.))
Ganaroth: (Okay, we should probably actually play. That okay?)
=^v^=: (( hopefully! ))
Riot: Yep!
Ganaroth: (Okay then. I'll just continue on, then.)

Io:
  Hatchling
Effect: Io's body is that of a newborn hatchling dragon. As such, they suffer from a number of penalties. On any turn that Io flies, he must land at the end of the turn or fall, suffering damage and becoming prone. Io becomes tired easily; they take a penalty to attack rolls equal to the number of encounters they have completed in a day, and whenever they are asked to make multiple endurance check in a single day, all checks after the first suffer a -5 penalty. All forced movement against Io forces them an additional square. Io is still a bit clumsy, and suffers a -2 penalty to all dexterity checks and dexterity skill checks.
Blood Pool:

Blood Pool:
  Interrogation of the Soul
Hit: A voice from within the pool of blood demands an answer of you. You must answer the question as truthfully as possible, or suffer a corresponding penalty, which is not revealed until triggered. Intentionally misleading answers count as lies, as does refusal to answer.

Blood Pool: (Oh, you did? Okay, Imma change it. I honestly couldn't remember.)
=^v^=: (( the question entirely? ))
vonel: (( Was the first question it ever asked. ))
Blood Pool: (Yeah. If the question was already asked, it would probably choose another.)
vonel: (( and it targeted Eileen and Io with it. ))
Blood Pool: (Right. Tell me if the one I choose is also redundant.)
Blood Pool:

vonel: (( Pretty sure that ones new. ))
Blood Pool: (Thumbs up. Same targets.)
Vul: o.0 "You aren't exactly hidden, there is one path down here, we are staying in the manor above..."
Eileen: "Yeah not sure I can say any thing differnt then that, any one looking could find you."
Vul: "Heck, the manor even came with tale that this basement is here..."
Lucky: "Did it just ask how we found it or something?"
Blood Pool: (Unlike the impassive silence following the previous questions, both of you sense a small twinge of confusion.)

Phantom Squire 1: +2 power bonus to attack rolls until the end of its next turn. ended on Phantom Squire 1
Phantom Squire 1:
Yltheria: (ded ded ded...)
Yltheria has received initiative.
Lucky: "I mean our friend bought the house upstairs. That usually includes the basement. So what's the deal? DId the house get stolen out from under our friend who's living in the pool?"
Yltheria:
  Magic Missile
  (4) Phantom Squire 1  ( Autohit )    —    11 force damage .
Effect: This power can be used as a ranged basic attack.
Eileen: "It seemed confused by the answer... I'm wondering if it thinks it's some were else."
Yltheria: (Canceling. She moves instead, and dismisses the summon.)
Lucky: "Okay, then in that case, since it's been asking questions all night, how about some of our own? Like: Where do you think you are right now?"
Vul has received initiative.
Yltheria:
Blood Pool does not respond. Yet.

Yltheria: (Hits)
The block is knocked from its ledge to the floor.
Vul knocks block back to him and steps on it if possible in a hmph-y way
vonel: (( back ))
Vul: I've finished my turn.
Yltheria: (That is possible, and also a good move, since it prevents him from using mage hand on it again.)
Perra has received initiative.
=^v^=: (( there is now a shootable skull! ))
=^v^=: (( also more importantly for avoiding icky, you can hide behind the wall from the blood pool! ))
Perra scampers behind wall to try and avoid being re pooled and attacks.
Perra:
  Dragonfrost
A gust of frost hammers her foe and knocks it back.
  (6) Flameskull 2    Rolled 17 vs. Fortitude    —    21 cold, radiant damage .
Hit: You push the target 1 square.
Special: This power can be used as a ranged basic attack.
Yltheria: (Miss, sorry.)
Alsyne has received initiative.
Perra:
=^v^=: (( punch rock to death? xP ))
suddenly an image of the short, brown robed individual that you saw previously appears above the pool, translucent save for a network of veins within. "You don't know where this is, do you? Your actions were taken in ignorance. I would ask that you cease attacking, and I will allow you to leave without sending further soldiers against you. I counsel you to accept, for your own sakes."
Eileen: "We know were it is in relation to were we came from, but from the sounds of it this place is suposed to be.. or mayhap actually is some were else."
Lucky:
Vul: "Oh! Hey Yth, could this be a large spacial fold?"
Vul:
Vul: "That would make the wolf sensitivity make a lot of sense right?"
Yltheria: "...not simply a spatial fold. Vul's hypothesis makes more sense. The basement is real, but this place is overlaid on it. I believe. I will admit that my true expertise isn't in that kind of magic. I can tell you quite a lot about his minions, and about that blood pool, though."
Vul:
  Arcana : Rolled 25.
Clarity: "Can we ask who you are? Because it seems like we're both in a strange situation, here."
=^v^=: (( the "Does vul have any idea beyond "hey that's kinda like a power I use" check ))
Brown Robed Person: ((Technically you should say that before you roll. But in this case it seems like this other place does exist somewhere. Now that you're looking for it, you can see faint distortions in some parts of the room, as though reality is stretching and compressing around things that should be there.))
Orbras: "You can call me Orbras, if you wish. So, somehow your.... basement... connects to my sanctuary. Irksome. Where does your end originate? I would like to make sure this doesn't happen again."
Vul: "Se En Kalir" Vul nods, "Way up top. You cam stop this?"
Clarity: "That explains a lot, honestly."
Eileen: "Indeed."
Vul hmms, "Still have to work on who and why though.. Also what..."
Orbras: "I can stop this, yes. If you are Si En Kelar, it should be easy enough to find your physical location, and destroy it from that side. Your information is very much appreciated."
Lucky: "Destroy what, exactly? You just mean whatever is causing this, right? I just want to be clear."
Orbras: "As I have not examined your side, I cannot say what I might need to destroy. You may however rest assured that all neccessary measures to ensure that destruction and the severing of these locations will be taken."
Vul: "The area is not deep, so just burying it woudn't work..." Vul says frowning
Lucky:
=^v^=: (( anyone gunna do insight? maybe he's being blow up the housey ))
Orbras: "Also useful information." He turns towards Lucky. "Your mansion will be destroyed if that is what is necessary. When I say all necessary measure, I meant it."
Io: "I don't think he considers this a bluff. Correctly or not, he seems confident that he can accomplish that. Which is interesting to me."
Orbras: "I stress that this is not personal. The project is in a crucial stage, and I cannot afford the possibility of further interruption."
Vul hmms
Eileen: "Destroying the mansion is going to be a problem, if it comes to that, and we would have to try and stop you from doing so."
Vul: "How long?"
Orbras: "How long what?"
Eileen: "I mean we could just not come down here for a while."
Orbras: "Your word on that is worthless to me."
Vul: "This crutial stage, we do have control over the only entrance."
Orbras: "I will give you no information on this project, and am insulted that you think I would."
Vul: "Well, if it's crutial would you really have the time to come do something about it?"
Orbras: "I don't need to come there myself. The project will proceed as planned, as will the dismantling of your end of this connection."
Vul sighs, "Really we should get going back anways, this person does not seem to want our assistance nor council, despite the mystical question asking blood pool."
Orbras: "You seem to believe that this negotiation's parameters are wider than they are. My offer is, and remains, your immediate safety in return for your immediate withdrawal." A note of amusement enters his voice. "The answers you gave were enlightening enough. They will help me accomplish this task."
Eileen sighs
=^v^=: (( does vul have any idea about where the edges of the foldy-space is? ))
Orbras: "Be optimistic. There may be a way to sever the connection without harming you or your property. Our animosity may be unecessary."
Orbras: ((Which edges? Can you explain in a little more detail?))
Eileen steps out of the pool shaking some of the excess liquid off her legs, "Let's hope so."
=^v^=: (( the edges where the reality of the room and the current spooky part meet ))
Vul wanders over to the blood-covered dragon
Orbras: "I employ as much violence as I need to, based on the urgency of the situation. No more, no less. I have no desire to make all of Si En Kelar my enemy by attacking your mansion unless it must be done."
Orbras: (Do you mean the outer boundary, or the spots inside the room that are distorted?)
=^v^=: (( either to be honest ))
Vul uses his telepathy on the dragon!
Clarity: "Well that means you're not Iron, at least."
Vul: "Hey... Io? That pen, it can seperate things too right?"
=^v^=: (( that telepath-y to dragon ))
Orbras: ((The reality bleed seems gradual along the perimeter. The outer basement is mostly your own, while this room is substantially more related to Orbras's location, wherever that is. It's hard to tell exactly what the ratios are, though.))
Vul: ~~"Perhaps we can remind the space around here that this is this and that is that?"~~
Io: "The pen can rewrite stories. Its power is considerable, but not unlimited, and it in no way protects you from the consequences of that alteration."
Io: "... and unfortunately, it also requires that you have sufficient understanding of the story that already exists. It rewrites, rather than creates."
Vul sighs, ~~And while I might know the story of our side, this side is opaque...~
Io: ~~Essentially, yes. We could research it, however. We at least have a name.~~
Vul perhaps notworthly does not pick up bloody dragon. ~~Plus Yth recognized the magic, supposedly~~
=^v^=: (( other then Vul sharing a glance with Io, anyone wanna say or do something? Sorta taking a bunch of space with my thing ))
Lucky: "I don't know about anyone else, but I'm about at the point where I just want to go drink a beer and go to bed. Maybe let the landlord know there's an overlap in time and space beneath the house and someone is coming by to fix it. Hopefully without blowing up the house."
Yltheria: "...Are you in a shadow reflection? I can't explain the linkage, but the conformation suggests that whatever power you're using is sensitive to the layout of local reality. I can think of a few ways, theoretically, but given your choice of undead as minions and blood as a motif, it seems probable that you may be located within a polymorphic gate distortion." She says this while walking over towards the pool, looking at the blood rather than the figure floating above it.
Vul speaks aloud, "Ya, see?"
Orbras: "...This conversation is concluded. Leave now, or suffer the consequences." The figure vanishes.
Lucky: "I think you hit a little too close to home, kid."
Vul nods, "Ya, need some more baths it looks like."
Perra nods at that.
Clarity: "I doubt ...Patience will be happy about this."
Yltheria: "It's puzzling how a shadow reflection of this size could be maintained, though. The amount of thanic energy required would be enormous. Not on the scale of the Deathrite Curse, but still more than I would be comfortable working with, at least without a great deal of assistance. May I ask how you accomplished this? The blood here does provide some clues, but it only narrows the field." She doesn't seem to have realized that Orbras is gone.
Vul goes over and pokes her shoulder
Vul: "That person left in a huff already, we should leave now."
Yltheria draws back from your unexpected touch, eyes wide. "Oh. he's gone, and I'm annoyingly talking to myself, aren't I? I apologize."
Vul: "Not annoying, but perhaps to our further peril, you can continue after we leave?"
Lucky: "You're fine, kid. Guy was just gruff. And I think you started figuring out his deal a bit too easily for his liking. But yes, I agree, we should probably hit the bricks."
Yltheria: "Ah. He might still be listening, and I would be giving away information. I understand, and will stop talking."
Vul starts to walk to the door offering Perra a hand rather absently.
Alsyne: "Yes, let's leave. I sorta have a couple of things I want to mention, but not here. Also, this place is gross."
Perra takes Vul's hand as she follows him out.
Alsyne: "Huh. Okay then." Her voice deepens slightly as she says that, and the stone on her crown darkens slightly more towards violet. Alsyne follows out of the room.
Yltheria: "...I want to take a sample, but that would be a bad idea." She still seems to take a few seconds to decide on that, despite her words, and then leaves with the rest of you.
Eileen heads out as well, "I'm sure you can get some off of us that were pulled in to it."
Lucky follows Yltheria almost protectively
Yltheria: "Yes. Though that reminds me to say that you should wash and clean yourselves immediately. Any blood that remains cohesive could possibly be used to pinpoint our location."
Vul: "It's also icky as Alsyne says."
Yltheria: "I can help with part of that, but washing with physical water will be more effective in this case than simply using a cantrip." On the subject of it being icky, it's almost like she's listening around those words.
Yltheria: (Okay, tis 10 and a bit pm, and I would like to get some sleep, because I drank a thousand gallons of caffeine so that I'd be awake for this, and the crash is right around the corner now.)
Vul: "I can assist you if you'd like, Io..." Vul says with a trace of embaracement. "Since it is a bit difficut when you are shaped like that alone."
Io: "I am capable of cleaning myself... but I would not mind the assistance either." Far from minding, their tone of voice suggests that they may actually be looking forward to the experience.
Io: ((Anyway... continue with rp next time, and during the week if anyone wants to. Thanks guys for not eating me alive for my mistakes here. I'll be more careful in the future.))
Io: ....Folk. Thanks FOLK.
Riot: (( guys is gender neutral enough for me, I use it a lot ))
Vul: guiz
Io: guise.

Vul: then it's like refering to that we are but psudonyms
Vul: youz guizez
Io: ((Thanks for saying so. That's how I always mean it, but whether it's appropriate or not isn't really up to me, y'know?))
